Ash + Nectar Scotland Retreat, part 1: Isle of Skye 🧙‍♀️✨⚔️🦋

The mantra of our retreat was:

Listen more deeply, express more fully.

This leg was dedicated to listening more deeply. To self, to the body, to the land, to god.

We very intentionally chose the Isle of Skye as the location for this. She is the queen of the shadowy underworld. She represents the void, the unknown inside the darkness. The fertile nothingness. This land has a potent and natural ability to expose parts of us that no longer feel like a true way to relate to self, life, and god.

We chose for this part of the retreat to be a prayer and offering to the fertile void. Giving intentional space to the part of the process that often gets glazed over and instead devoting for three days to the art of listening deeply to self: what is true for me right now, and how can I honor that? In the most mundane moments, and in the bigger moments.

Sometimes the answer looks like crying on the floor held by sisters or stomping your feet and yelling to release repressed anger…

And sometimes it looks like twerking on a rock, pretending to be a mountain sheep, or dancing around a 13th century castle with tons of people watching 😂

Over the course of the last decade, my soul-deep longing to travel to Scotland with a group of mystical magical women has grown and grown until my soul was yelling at me: “HOST A RETREAT BITCH” 😂

It started with a past life memory filled with both the joy of embodying my natural healer self with other witchy sisters, and the heart-wrenching pain of being punished for it.

It grew when I became obsessed with Outlander and started having more bone-deep remembrance.

Over the course of the last decade, my soul-deep longing to travel to Scotland with a group of mystical magical women has grown and grown until my soul was yelling at me: “HOST A RETREAT BITCH” 😂

It started with a past life memory filled with both the joy of embodying my natural healer self with other witchy sisters, and the heart-wrenching pain of being punished for it.

It grew when I became obsessed with Outlander and started having more bone-deep remembrance.

And after talking to probably a DOZEN women who have the same longing… I knew I needed to answer the call.

@iamkattovar and I are hosting this retreat for the women who feel the same magical, mystical ache to return to Scotland.

Do you need to have ancestral ties or past life memories to join us?
